New York University (NYU) is now offering a course titled, "Guitar Heroes (and Heroines): Music, Video Games and the Nature of Human Cognition,” taught by Professor Gary Marcus. The course already has a waiting list. Marcus states that he believes that video games are an understudied area and that people dismiss them unfairly, and he also believes that 'Guitar Hero' is a good tool for teaching, so his course will tackle the finer points of video games and human cognition.
